I am having the same exact issue as below, I was able to sync before but not sure when the changes happen that let the process get hung up like said:
Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing similar issues with syncing to the SD card on a Kindle Fire. Not a huge deal but it sort of renders my SD card storage useless for Plex.

I can successfully download to my limited internal storage (8 GB or so) but can no longer sync to my SD card, which means I can only sync one or two episodes of a TV show or 1-2 movies max. (FYI I have no child profiles installed on my device that would prevent a normal download to SD card as I have read on other posts). It converts the file for Kindle format, but does not download to the device. Plex still allows me to choose External Storage as the Sync location and I can max out the storage limit, however upon syncing, the sync stops at 50% (queued).
